Context of the assignment

90% of our time is spend indoors, and we lack exposure to natural light. Only 0.5% of current lighting systems is designed for biological impact. This leads to all kinds of problems ranging for simple sleep disturbances, to affecting cognitive performance, influencing mood and behaviour and long term even a path to neurodegeneration.  

CircadianLux is a young brand specialized in light that supports sleep/wake cycles, located in Hong Kong. Their mission is to bring natural rhythms indoors using the right light. The brand is part of LuxBalance, which aims to inspire lives through the power of light towards a net-zero future.  

CircadianLux relies on its innovation and satisfied customers that may recommend the brand to other potential users. Its target market is primarily in Asia (including Hong Kong) and Western Europe (including the Netherlands) 

This assignment involves developing and implementing an engaging digital content creation strategy for CircadianLux. Content creation helps to educate potential users, inform potential partners and enhance brand awareness and engagement.  

The lights are currently to support people with Dementia. Communication stakeholders include people with dementia, family members, professional and medical staff, scientists, as well as interior designers, architects and NGOs. For this assignment students may choose a primary communication stakeholder for which content is optimised. For example family members or nursing staff. 

Future users could be parents with kids, people working from home, older people living at home, and more. 

It would be great if student(s) have some affinity or interest in any of the above communication stakeholders. 

Assignment

The assignment may include the following components:

Content Creation: Research best-in-class content and Produce content such as text posts, blog posts, images, videos, and Reels/Stories that align with Circadianlux brand identity. 

In collaboration with the student(s) the assignment can be refined.

Additional Notes 

This assignment will be conducted fully remote.

Student(s) own initiative is expected.

Regular check-ins with the client (Circadianlux) are recommended to ensure alignment and receive feedback. 

The project should emphasize creative and durable marketing practices.

A strong preference exists for end-to-end implementation of digital marketing strategies or tactics. This includes planning and execution and evaluation to ensure a holistic learning experience.

The final deliverable should include a summary of the strategy, execution, and results.

This assignment can be done in a group of 2 to 3 students.
