Context of the assignment

In the heart of the city of Groningen you will find a shop full of exclusive, functional and stylish writing instruments: De Vulpenwereld. Since 1924, De Vulpenwereld has been the place to go in Groningen for luxury pens, ballpoint pens and mechanical pencils. 

De Vulpenwereld has also made name internationally. Customers travel from all over the Netherlands and even from Belgium to visit the store. The rise of online shopping has prompted Ronald to start a webshop, so that enthusiasts also have digital access to the extensive range of luxury pens. 

Since a couple of years De Vulpenwereld also had an online shop and recently the site has been redeveloped. To make use of the full potential, De Vulpenwereld would like to expand its online activities.  

Assignment

The website has recently been redeveloped and the online webshop has a more prominent place now. Because of the growing interest from abroad and because of the importance of online shopping for the business, the owner wants to expand his online (social media) activities and asks students to develop a social media strategy. Important is that students are able to translate the story of the Vulpenwereld into online content for the business and to design a user manual for the owner.  

More specific, the required deliverables are: 
- Target group analysis (both Dutch and Belgian) 
- Analysis of best practices of competitors (discuss with client which competitors) 
- Design the (corporate) story for ‘De Vulpenwereld’ 
- Develop a social media strategy (including content calendar and social media posts) 
- Implementation plan and user manual for the owner 

Extra information:

For this assignment knowledge of the Dutch language is required.

This assignment can be done in a group of 3 students.
