Minoren

Digital Product Lab

During the minor Digital Product Lab students are going to work in multidisciplinary teams to develop and market a digital / ICT related product. Students will work in a team and based on the agile principles of product development. During this minor students will be supported by their coach and there will be given additional workshops on ICT and CMD related topics. The second component that students will get to know is the business component. Questions like 'what is your market?' and 'who is your target group?' will be answered during workshops and coaching.

Brand, Design & Psychology

In Brand, Design & Psychology, you will work in multidisciplinary and international teams and develop branding & communication strategies, set up implementation plans for crossmedia campaigns, and design or prototype various touchpoints and (interactive) media solutions.

The programme aims to strengthen the core values and customer journeys of either existing or new brands by exploring, analyzing and implementing multimodal-design interventions. Basic cognitive, linguistic and visual theories are used to influence the target group through both written language (copywriting) and cultural texts (image related). Neuroscientific insights applied in consumer testing help to understand the way in which design contributes to building affective brand values. The quickly advancing field of digital marketing, branding and communication and a rapidly changing society requires a strong sense of public responsibility from its designers. The ability to emphasize, to anticipate intentional and unintended social implications of one's design (human-centered branding), is essential in order to create durable added value and increase brand equity.

Digital Marketing

We are sure we do not need to explain that digital marketing is not a trend. Digital Marketing is a crucial element for all modern-day businesses. Whether it is your bakery around the corner who can be found via Google Maps or a massive company, like IKEA, who offer you virtual reality applications for home decoration.

Digital marketing is already integrated into our everyday lives without consumers objectively noticing it. Many companies struggle with keeping up with the possibilities the digital environment offers their business. Why is there still no digital showroom where I can walk around to see the cars a dealer is currently offering? Why does the webshop where I want to buy a pair of exclusive sneakers only offer payment through credit card? Why do I still need to have my phone on desktop mode to get Blackboard working properly? As previously mentioned, companies continuously struggle with all digital possibilities out there. You will learn how to open the world of possibilities to them by constructively analyzing possibilities and presenting them with the most applicable digital solutions for their company.
