5G Masterclass 5G & Satellites

The arrival of 5G offers many opportunities in many industries, including within the European Space Agency (ESA). In collaboration with 5Groningen a masterclass is organized about the possibilities of satellite information and 5G. This will take place in a special location at the DOT, Groningen.

Firstly, Olivier Becu from ESA will talk about satellites, 5G and the opportunities for business. What are the possibilities and what is ESA working on? After that two entrepreneurs will talk about the use cases they did in cooperation with ESA. Ivo Bartelink from ACS Climotion will tell more about the 5G-pilot Space for buildings. Space For Buildings is a feasibility study by ACS and KNMI with cooperation of ESA. In this study we investigate if we can use satellite-data from the ESA sentinel program to reduce pollution levels(especially pm2.5) in buildings. Next to that Joris IJsselmuiden form Track 32 will be there to talk about the 5G-pilot Quantified Farm. Quantified Farm was about using satellite imagery and 5G networking for precision farming. Joris will also tell us about other uses of Artificial Intelligence and computer vision in agriculture. This masterclass will be closed with drinks and the opportunity of a network event.
